So, what music do you like to listen too?

I have a workout playlist on my Ipod which consists of:

Loser by Delores O'Roiden
James Bond by Scouting for Girls.
No bad news by Patty Griffin
Summertime by Fresh Prince
Living daylights by A-Ha
Alright by Janet Jackson (l know, don't laugh. It's has great speed)
some daft Punk, Imogen Heap, and Flight of the Conchords.

I have other stuff, but I really like to workout to these songs.

On My ipod I have a Kings of Leon CD. Their tempo seems to work well for me.

My fav is 4 Strings but also move to Lasgo, Ian Van Dahl, and Armin Van Buuren to name just a few. It's all pretty much fast pace dance music to get you going. I have Napster at home so I can listen to anything for $15 a month then buy the stuff I want to listen to on my Pod.

Geez, I must have been born yesterday or something. I only recognize a couple people all of you mentioned. How do you discover those non mainstream bands/musicians? Did a friend tell you about them?

Brian, a computer, internet Guru/Geek like yourself out to be totally all over this kind of thing. Go to Pandora.com, set up an account and type in one of the aforementioned artists and they'll place something by them and more music by artists similar to them. You'll get acquaninted with a huge variety of awesome artists you've never heard of. 10 times better than radio!

Yep, I've used Pandora before, I really like it. But I guess I don't remember seeing a bunch of artists pop up that I didn't know. It always played stuff I had heard before.

You've got to start by using a name you're not quite as familiar with. No Justin Timberlake or Rhianna like usual.

I have my Squeezebox hooked up to Pandora and Lastfm.

With Pandora, if you type in an artist that you like, it will give you artists of a similar nature. It's cool.
